Haiti Earthquake Relief

by admin | January 14th, 2010

Today, Thursday, January 14, at 2:30pm, Frank McKinney will depart for Port au Prince Haiti with two world-class disaster relief teams, one from Colorado, and the other from South Florida. They will be the first U.S. lead relief team to land in Port au Prince. Frank has no set return date.

There is a short window of opportunity to search for and rescue those trapped in the rubble, as well as treat those who have been critically injured. We have a team of doctors, paramedics, firefighters and other team members who have been specially trained in search, rescue and extraction techniques in natural disaster circumstances.

Frank and I want to sincerely thank you if you have donated to this emergency effort. If you haven’t, and would like to do so, please visit our donate page: http://www.frank-mckinney.com/donate.aspx, or call Anne at 561.722.3950 to make your donation over the phone.

This certainly is an unbudgeted expenditure for our Caring House Project Foundation, yet we are called to act on God’s great “tap moments” as the Haiti earthquake disaster has presented.

There are few who have been cleared to fly directly into Port au Prince, the capital city of Haiti, and the epicenter of the destruction. We are grateful to those who have worked so hard to make this happen.

We encourage you to come out to see Frank and his team off today (1/14) at 2:30pm at the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport, 5525 NW 15th Ave. 33309, Suite 150. If you want to bring a donation check, I’m sure Frank would be glad to accept it personally from you.

As Frank will be gone for an indefinite period of time, and won’t have access to email or phone, please be sure to contact me instead of Frank at 561.756.0335, or kimberley@frank-mckinney.com.

Please either circulate this email to your list, or send: http://www.frank-mckinney.com/blog.asp?article=168, as it contains the same information. Regardless of when you read this, please support Frank’s effort. It will take years, perhaps decades to rebuild Haiti, and I can assure you that Frank and the Caring House Project Foundation will be there for the duration.

We will be sure to post a summary report when Frank returns. Thank you again for your support.

These are my favorite charities that do work in Haiti. I have supported them via donating land in the USA for a new home, funding home construction costs for multiple homes in Haiti, donating funds for emergency food and shelter relief after natural disasters and in fund raising efforts showing others via my visits to Haiti the great needs of the people there.
